To run QuikMenu on a single system type QM at the DOS prompt while
in the QuikMenu directory. To run QuikMenu on a network type
QNET "user name" for each workstation; ie. QNET Nancy or QNET John.
You cannot have two workstations using the same name.
To register QuikMenu call or write to: OSCS, 1293 NW Wall St. Suite

$20. Since QuikMenu is network compatible you may instead purchase
a site license for $80 per 10 workstations. VISA and MasterCard
accepted. QuikMenu is shareware and may be used free of charge for
a trial period. If you decide to continue using QuikMenu please
register it. You may also distribute unregistered copies of
QuikMenu freely to your friends and associates as long as you do
not charge for the program, and all accompanying files are
included.
Registration entitles you to notification of future upgrades to
QuikMenu, telephone support, and an upgrade path to our commercial
products.
Upon installation this program will create menu buttons for most,
if not all, of the programs on your hard drive. Software titles
that this program does not recognize at installation, or that are
added after the menu program has been installed, can be added
simply by using the Add command button. This menu program was
designed to make using your computer system as easy as possible.
The program will work with either a mouse or the keyboard equally
well, will run in any standard graphics resolution, and will
operate on most networks that use DOS commands.
To save any modifications you have made to the menu, you should
press the F10 function key. The changes are also saved when the
screen saver activates, or an application is run.
If QuikMenu does not find a program that is on your hard drive, and
you know it is in the proper directory, contact OSCS and we will
add the program to the auto install in the next release.
Programs that run under Microsoft Windows are not automatically
installed into the menu, but buttons can be added to run them like
any other program. When adding a button for a windows program the
word WIN or WIN386 must preface the program command, ie. WIN EXCEL,
in the command line of the add option in QuikMenu. Runtime
versions of windows programs do not need the WIN preface.
There have been a number of requests to make a version of QuikMenu
with a retail store's name on it. This can be done to some degree
with a simple ASCII text file. If a text file named YOUR.TXT is
created and saved with the QuikMenu program, QuikMenu will
automatically create a button named Company Info when the program
is installed or run for the first time. When the Company Info
button is selected YOUR.TXT will be displayed in a window exactly
like Help. If you would like to have your own company name on the
button, call OSCS for instructions.
